Message from Principal
Dr. Michelle Yazurlo

The 2011-2012 school year promises to be a new beginning for Palisade Preparatory School.  Our combined enthusiasm, desire to succeed, and mutual support will help us to become one of the premier schools in Westchester.  The information provided to you in the handbook outlines the procedures and policies that are followed at Palisade Prep.  It is our expectation that you are familiar with and respect the rules that we have in place.  I am excited to begin the new school year and believe that we will have a fabulous year.

Michelle Yazurlo, Ed.D

Yonkers Team Wins Harvard-Yale-Brown Debate

Seniors Chris Pimental from Saunders High School and Frank Thomson from Palisade Prep (both in suit and tie) with their competitors at the debate.

Two students from the Yonkers Public Schools were the team to beat at the recent Harvard-Yale-Brown debate sponsored by the Radcliffe Club of Westchester. Seniors Chris Pimental from Saunders High School and Frank Thomson from Palisade Preparatory articulated their position against the team from Byram Hills High School so well, they were declared the winner of the debate.

The event, held at the German School in White Plains, is a showcase for debate among students from Harvard, Yale and Brown, who also coach teams of high school students who debate each other in the second half of the program. The other participating schools were Rye High School, Rye Neck High School, The Master’s School and The German School.

Moderators were Ronald Frank, a Board member of the German School, Rodney Cohen, Assistant Dean at Yale and George Vassilev, Assistant Dean at Brown.
